How do you network?
Blinders, recently saw a post that someone from Amazon got an offer to be a board member of a startup and asking if itβs possible while working full time. My question is where do you guys and girls network and find the right people to build long term sustainable relationships? Within amazon, I do network and build relationships. But how do you network externally? Any recommended conferences/summits? Also recently watched a YouTube video of current Uber CEO that he was at a conference and CEO of Spotify introduced him (at that time he was a CEO of Expedia) to Uber execs. This makes me think a lot, where to find this network?
Reply to some politically biased tech sr. Leader on Twitter aligning with their view. They would notice you, take it from there.

I had a friend who gave this tip. I personally don't do this. I just ask for a mutual connection to introduce if I ever want to talk to someone. If no mutual connection or work relationship I typically stay away. The above comment. Say something insightful that aligns with their bias like posting something from brene brown if they care about diversity in their comments. Keep this going for a few weeks before you slide into their DM and tell them what you think (fake) of such issues. If they comment, keep the action going for a few months. Later you could get their contact info and talk beyond political BS.
By being normal and nice. Which most of this app badly struggles with.
