I currently use a blend of Google suite (sheets, docs), Figma, Miro, Slack, and GitHub to communicate information to the stakeholders. It can get messy and things sit everywhere. I've been trying to improve at making more complete design docs as the source of truth. How do you guys organize everything including: - Testing checklist - User research - Designs - Stakeholder documents - Etc. Does anyone wish there was something to act as one source of truth? #pm #product #productmanager #saas
Weekly meetings?
I definitely do that and the notes usually end up in Google docs or Slack channels. Where do you usually post the weekly notes or updates?
What about, email right after each meeting? There’s probably a more effective way but I don’t know
No stakeholders wants to read your docs. You have to find a way to organically include the updates in the flow of their work. Documentation is critical but it is more like a safeguard than a communication tool.
If you have a central spot for documentation such as gdrive, confluence, zendesk, or any other place you already used, just keep a running tab of docs/notes in organized folders. keep it in 1 spot, be consistent, date time and attendance all of them. it should be clear and easy enough that ppl who were on pto or out of the loop can easily find the notes and info themselves to refer back to.
Less buzzwords for starters 🤮
