How do you stay off social media?

There’re so many. All have infinite feeds that you can keep scrolling through. Reddit, Facebook, YouTube, Blind, telegram, etc.

Removed it from my phone.

I removed Facebook and reddit apps from my phone, but still use their web versions on browser. That cut down the time I spent on them a hell lot.

How is YouTube social media?

Facebook public2 Jan 13, 2019

I guess I’m using YouTube-Lite then I search for specific content or use a link. Never posted a comment. Never read a comment. No notifications or recommendations. I’ll just stick to that, then. The world is ugly enough as it is.

Remind this to yourself that nothing will happen if you disable your account. Try this and disable it for 1 month.

Salesforce Heimer OP Jan 14, 2019

Yeah gonna try this.

Salesforce Heimer OP Jan 14, 2019

Way less content to be considered distracting

1. Make your phone colors black and white. In the Settings, there is an accessibility option. Directions online. 2. Become more connected to your body through some kind of physical activity. Once you become more connected to body and breathing, you may also become less likely to spend an exorbitant amount of time on the phone.

Good advice. What is the point of switching to B&W?

Google nXzp52 Jan 14, 2019

it makes the apps less appealing and has been popular advice to combat phone addiction https://www.google.com/amp/s/lifehacker.com/change-your-screen-to-grayscale-to-combat-phone-addicti-1795821843/amp A friend told me this works because colors are associated with food, from an evolutionary perspective. and the phone with all its colors is tapping into this urg to seek more. I didn’t verify the research.

Hard deleted all accounts. Blind and linkedIn are the only ones I left in tact.

What is on LinkedIn? Last time I checked it was full of spam and meaningless garbage (like quora, but much worse)

You deactivate. Go on a vacation with no phone. Never reactivate.
