I have extensive MEAN stack background, so I mostly ever worked with JS. I really don't want to move to a front-end role where JS is actually probably helpful. I got interview opportunities from Google (L5) and Microsoft (L62) Hyderabad, IN locations. (PS: not too keen on Microsoft) I'm good with coding interviews as I solved a lot of CP problems regularly using Java, Cpp, Python, C#, JS. CodeChef rating (1800+) I'm mostly concerned about all the other aspects of the interview. YOE: 6+ Current TC: INR 36L + 60L (ESOP) I don't think ESOP will have significant value as I lost trust in this company's business #hyderabad #offer #interviewprep #interview #google #microsoft #india #engineering #software #swe
Avoid any cargo cult design pattern you learned during MEAN stack development. Google Senior roles require being really flexible and open minded. Good engineering principles are fine but otherwise be prepared to talk through your designs from first principles.
Thanks for the advice! I didn't even think about how my MEAN stack thought process will cause bias in design patterns
Google is interested in DSA & System design, not any specific tech stack
Like they don't care at all?
Yes. They don't care about tech stack at this level. Maybe if you are a ML researcher then they care about specifics.. bit otherwise no.. we don't care.
