In my last company I was on spring MVC project. But in my current company I'm working on old stack ( Jersey) and mostly doing bug fixing. I've been here for almost a year. Should I move out as I fear If I stay here for longer new opportunities will be difficult to come by. What to do?
Move unless they want to pay extra for that. “Opportunity cost” comes to my mind. And yes I understand that bug fixing is kind of critical, but such focussed experience would give me a signal that you are poor performer/communicator in an interview. Feature work helps grow your career, only bug fixes? Ask for a different project
Yes they moved me to a team where we only deal with customer defects
Keeping the lights on pays the bills. It's for some people and it's fine to do for a bit. The important thing, is are you growing?
