Is it basically an auto-interview or do you still need to come from target school and have internships? TC: 500k, asking for a friend #interview #womenintech
Grace hopper Conference is an all women conference that hires women in FAANG. It’s more about having the right skills and being noticed.
Yeah, people gets tons of interviews from ghc.
Any stats on resume to interview rate there?
I’m female, went to target school, have an achievement at a major international programming competition, and have a somewhat highly-cited publication. Got rejected by Microsoft at resume screening 😿
Apply to Google/FB, you'll get greenlit for interviews

Stop playing female card. If you're talented and worthy you will get the job
Your friend will get the job if they have the skills.
In a perfect world I'd agree with the above re: stop playing the female card. In this world? Lean all the way into it. Make your sex work for you. Gotta take every advantage you can these days.
that is not how it works. people want to take the path of least resistance and wherever they can get advantage. It is only after that they have morality attack/equality/equity etc
it will be easier to get through the screening stage at least because every company is looking to increase visual diversity.
Wont apply anymore as we are all cribbing to be remote🤷🏽♂️
Easy af. Bonus points if you're a poc. I've seen the powerpoints.
Any stats you want to share?
It’s easier, but not easy.
To get an interview? Any stories to share?
Yes, it’s a supply and demand thing. All companies have official goals of hitting 50/50 gender balance, but the reality in CS courses is more like 20/80 (maybe 30/70). Add to that the fact that women have more reasons to stay home after having kids (not an obligation, but the choice), and there’s a shortage. You’ll still go through the same interviews as anyone though, so still not easy.
preferential treatment?
You wish.
