Any company that lay of workers should be Bann from employing foreign workers for the next ten years until they extend an offer to all employees affected by layoffs. You cannot lay-off people then turnaround saying their is labor shortage. Meta hiring H1B and visa workers after laying off thousands of employees, it is beyond ridiculous.

Agree with the problem, but your solution is terrible. There just needs to be a higher cost for layoffs, so that companies think twice before hiring and think trice before laying off. Right now theyβre allowed to seize the opportunity quickly and then layoff too easy.
