Are they literally impossible for us more average folk? Or can an average person get through after steady leetcode grind? I hear about people getting asked LC hard, which sometimes I cant even do given more than an hour when Im working at home. Is it a lost cause for a current Nordstrom engineer? Lol
They are like the Squid Game
+1
Practice and practice OP.
Any reason you chose linkedin over google?
depends on if your interviewer got laid within that week or not also
Which is mostly false for Bay Area nerds.
It's really not that bad in my experience, people just like complaining about interviews
It’s more about how confident you are and how well you communicate your thoughts. Google doesn’t run your code so don’t have to worry about small syntax errors.
I had a few easy, average difficulty
Are you female? Important question
No im poc tho
Proof of concept?
I think doing 100+ leetcode spread out is more than enough to get a good grasp of the most relevant topics. Anything more and you’re just optimizing for getting a question you’ve seen before
The google interview process only exists to reject candidates
Related question... Do you actually execute the code (a la Leetcode) or just write it? I suspect the way I've been practicing is screwing me if the latter. Heavy reliance on debug output to figure out what's going on with my implementation.
i interviewed with google last year and got no luck. i had to actually run it. I got all the lc questions right in the end (without hint), but spent some time on debugging. I think they expect you to write bug free and fast when you first run it.
