Got hit up by an Amazon recruiter. Dunno if I should go to the interview. Never touched leetcode in my life and the IBM interview was basically a conversation about tech and some Java trivia...
2 weeks learning fundamentals of DS&A. 2 weeks grinding leetcode. Assumes 8 hours per day dedication. This is for OA and phone screen. Add another week for onsite prep of system design if you pass those stages

Read the first 5 chapters of cracking the coding interview book. It helped me alot
Do not join Amazon EDINBURGH. It is bad salaries and downlevels. Join London instead.

What do you think is wrong with a kid who got rejected by 9 colleges?
It's pretty easy. LC medium should be more than enough. For the design round, do go through a couple of design patterns. For any Amazon interview, do prepare on leadership principles. It is the major decider. ~60% of the interview time is on that
I'm a self taught developer so I never needed Algo&Ds since everything is already implemented in language libs. How much time does it take to go from 0 to LC medium ?
First understand data structure, algorithms and time space complexity. Then leetcode will make more sense.
