Please don’t join Citi. It’s one of the worst places for a Software Engineer. I’m working since 3 years and I’m literally dying to move out. No work means you will get comfy and your career will be screwed.

Leaving the company aside, that is a terrific compensation for Tampa. A gem

Agreed. I haven't even broken 60, but I've been stuck with shit teams and even worse management

Make sure you negotiate a relo package, it is typically not offered unless you ask. If they say no, ask for a sign on bonus that could be used to offset the costs of moving. If you have kids, pay attention to where u live/rent. Lots of crappy schools unless you are in pricier areas. As for WLB, I have never seen it. They work you into the ground. None the less it is great exposure to a global company. After a year I your role, you can apply to other roles. As for culture, it depends on your boss and dept and projects. During your interview ask the boss how many folks on the team, what the team does, average # of years someone stays on the team, how many times on average a person is promoted there, what keeps people from being promoted more often, how many people have you promoted this year, when was the last time you praised someone work -tell me about it, when was the last time you had to discipline an employee - tell me about it, ask that persons directs what cool team bonding they do, how often do they work at night, etc. Ask things that will clue you in. By you asking, if the culture on the team is No WLB, they wont pick you....but, you need to see if it is a good fit.
