I found a very relevant ML role on yahoo research careers page, and wanted to learn how they are doing. Anyone have first hand experience of working or interacting with the research teams at Yahoo? 1. How are they doing? 2. What is their interview process? 3. How is the work there? 4. Is the Yahoo brand still worth on the resume? 5. How do they pay? TC: 225K + paper money YoE: 4
They are trying to ipo again next year. Seems like a lot of energy again and could be a comeback. It’s much better now. Work culture is good and people are generally nice. This is what I learnt through my network. Minus might be pay since equity is paper money.
Oh, that's interesting! I wonder which market/s they'll be competing in. Does it still carry a good reputation in tech circles?
I think they are surely decent especially if you are trying to break into product based or tech company
I’m giving Yahoo referrals if you need one. We are doing fairly well, a lot of hiring. Possible IPO soon. We’re the 4th most visited website in the US. Pay is standard across big tech. Check levels. Plus we are full remote so that’s a great perk.
How are the interviews. And how is the stock price gonna be decided
Bookmarked
Is 225 base? Also which location or remote
Yes, it is base and located in South SF.
So mountain view office
@op how was your interview? What questions did they ask?
They are remote which should be great
That's good to know. Hope they don't switch to RTO like other tech companies.
