How is orange theory?

How expensive is it? Couldn't get the prices at first look. Do guys go there? TC: 200k

Someone that I know tried it. There's a hidden cost where you need to get their heart monitor device. Like, you cannot buy your own, you have to buy from them. It's mandatory. The class is monotone as well, in a way that it's always the same sequence. Some weights, machines, then cardio. But this was like a year or two ago. So, things might have changed now. In my opinion, it's more worth to just pay for boxing classes (real boxing). Not only you get the cardio, but you also learn how to punch if you ever need to defend yourself (hopefully you'd never need to, of course).

knowing how to punch is useful when OP’s new manager is particularly bad.

Pretty much the same even now if not worse. Don't waste your time and money on Orange Theory.

I tried 2 classes at Orange Theory ...but it was quite boring. If you already have the zeal and enthusiasm for a fitness class / program then you may enjoy it. As for the ‘heart monitor’ device - it didn’t work for me in either class. Maybe if I could see the numbers at the end of the class it could have been my motivation & satisfaction 😳

I am a current otf member. I have been a member since 3 months and price vary on area from 140-180$ per month. Workouts are intense but yes they get monotonous. I have been here for 3 months now and on a month break now. Will go back in some time. And yes you have to buy their monitor which is around 100$. You easily not buy it but that defeats the purpose of tracking in studio exercise. But you have to be wary of 12$ fee for not showing up. You can't just book a class and not go. That 12$ hurts but is a great motivator to force you to go when you are feeling lazy.

Do they do weight training?

It’s fantastic for the gym noob. Gets serious results. Expensive though, but you get what you pay for. I’d pay for it for 6 months to hit your target and then just go solo. Great for the skinny fat type couch potato which is probably the norm on Blind. Only thing better is hiring a personal trainer, but it’s far more expensive.

Any class where you are rewarded for being fat is bullshit.
