They reached out about a product role and i was considering whether to take the interview Wanted to get a sense of morale and how things are ? Are people leaving or are employees generally still happy ? Stock is in toilet bowl yes but so is all of s&p and nasdaq. Current tc is around $260k. Let me know if anyone can share any intel ?
I believe we’re strong with a great future ahead of us.
Same. I kinda hate that I'm tempted to not sell ASAP uhg
I have no inside knowledge but Out of all the fintech Square seems to have strongest position in the market. Plus if you want to join at lower market cap.
Stronger than Stripe?
I would argue much stronger. We don’t know what true valuation of stripe in public market. I have been burned once by a company with lots of paper value but after lockup expired it was 1/10th the value
I’m a recent joiner, but morale seems really high. A lot of people believe in the vision so even with compensation dips I think people are overall happy to keep trudging on
You joined now at low stock and hence you’re happy but most of the folks who have been here since last years aren’t happy. Tc is down 70% but company doesn’t gives a f.
Re-read my message, I said overall it seems like most people are happy. Ya some people definitely got fucked with their grant price, I hope we’re able to figure that out, but I’m mostly talking about the company as a whole and future prospects.
Overall it’s pretty good. There’s definitely some angst and frustration around comp because of the enormous drop in stock price recently. But the business itself is as healthy as ever and the opportunity hasn’t changed.
