Tier 1 severity service = better be 5 mins away from laptop when oncall Is it really Tier1 from internal severity persective or just tier 1 from use case perspective? People usually throw tier 1 term in different context outside Amazon

There are 2 different teams, Payments and Digital Payments. Digital Payments is the interface to the Payments team. Payments team will have more operational load because it handles retail, marketplace and digital payments.
tier 1 is highest level prod service. all services have bugs. you do the math
