How is working at Interactive Brokers as a software engineer?
We often hear about working at Robinhood which is an amateur app when compared to IBKR. I really like IBKR mobile app and the complex services they offer. They are also trying to improve their web app functionality. Do they pay well ? Did they have a layoff recently ?
Interviewed with them a long time ago. They interviewed me entirely on some Java language specifics. Didn't make it through (I actually didn't do well in the interview)
Their stock is really really expensive right now. Take that into consideration if they pay with RSUs.
They must be making lots of money. I am very stingy but I myself pay lots of fees to them
They make money, but their stock is hyperbolic right now. It’s expensive. Just be okay with 50%+ volatility.
I think I looked up their pay once as I was interested as well, I recall it didn't look good, but idk...
Robinhood pays good, so why can't IBKR pay ?
The same reason why duck duck go doesn't pay as well as google 🤷
