How long before OCI has layoffs?
Oracle has regular layoffs. OCI is a promising venture but if they fail to generate revenue what will happen to all the folks who have joined during this hiring spree with all those RSUs? OCI has big plans for next few years. Hiring spree is justifiable with the projected product plans. It’s getting bigger, I joined at 4K people now at 12K but work just got tripled even with more people. Honestly speaking employees are frustrated with focals this year, so many might leave next year after the vest period otherwise OCI is here to stay.
Since how many years did OCI cancel focals now?
Is this all you folks think and stress about "layoffs"? Every company you will ever work for can quit you and you job in a whim. We are corporate slaves. Just a cog in a machine. We make enough TC as engineers we should all have a big rainy day fund and live wild and free. Take any job you please or not.
Focus on what you learn and how you can increase your market value and employability. Lay off is not unique to oracle. All it matters are you able to get a job quickly and with better compensation.
