Could anyone share some experiences with the i140 process? I Appreciate your sharing! If I’m having only two years left on my h1b. Is it late?
6-9 months if you are lucky, otherwise it depends a lot on any RFEs
What is RFE
Doesn’t it have premium processing?
Depends if it’s done via regular processing or premium processing! If premium processing it’s 15 business days! If regular you can check the wait time online which I am not very sure. As long as u have ur perm has been applied or approved before 365 days of 6th year u are good for extension. If u are not happy u can still switch companies now but u shud ask them to process PERM asap which can become risky.
Perm - 8 months I140 - 6-8 months I140 can be done in premium too. Also, depending on the law firm and how responsive they are, prevailing can alone take 3-5months from when you start having meeting with them to finalize the roles and responsibilities

Calculated my NW and now i can't sleep
Usually it takes 6-7 months. 2 years would be quite comfortable
