How many days is reasonable for relocation?
Hi all. Moving from seattle to tx. How many days is reasonable for me to take off for relocating? Will be driving with a trailer in tow. My current company has an unlimited vacation day policy but i don't want to make management and team mad for taking an unreasonable amount of time. #Fux sap Tc:180
It depends on how much stuff you have. I don’t need to take PTO because I have a few clothes and a laptop and can take an overnight flight
2 to pack. 5 to drive. 2 to unpack
I took 2 days + weekend when I moved. But if you hve unlimited no one will complain about 1 week
Dont move to Texas. It's not nice.
I wish they offered remote. Cant take it back now. Tx is not nice at the moment
TX is fine. Having lived in both TX and Seattle, I can strongly recommend TX. Just ignore the state level political theatrics, they tend to get shut down by courts anyway.
A week sounds reasonable for packing, the trip, unpacking, and setting up.
Driving? 2 weeks seems reasonable
