Hi , How much Amazon pay for “AWS Oracle dba “?
Recently amazon told it no longer need DBA and asked them to either change roles or go out. If you are a DBA of any sort, don’t join amazon. If you want to be either support engineer or solution architect, then take it. What level are you?
Thank you, I have 10 years of experience in Oracle DBA and with the Hadoop admin knowledge . So do you suggest to take the position “AWS Oracle database administrator” position ?I am considering Amazon because I don’t want to stick only with the Oracle database and to work on different flavors
Amzn is currently getting rid of RDB from internal services (processes) permanently, not sure aws side but not a good offer, imo, or you will do a job for removing RDB, and eventually you will also be removed.

Not sure buddy. My gut feeling is that number of opportunities for DBAs will continue to decline at least in Amazon. If you can move into a different job family when the need be (which is usually pretty easy in Amazon), maybe it's a good move.
