Hi guys, I have few (6-8) years of experience and demand for my services in Europe and I want to get to the US, Bay Area in particular. My experience is full-stack and front-end, mostly in front-end. Architecture design, building from scratch, leading teams and so on. My main type of customers are companies in production, that start a new department. With that US, I'm happy to have strong intentions and a few acquaintances to guide me. However, I'm facing problems with getting interviews. What I've done, besides preparation for the interview itself: 1) two rounds of LinkedIn "spamming" 2) acquaintances have made a reference for me to Facebook and Amazon What I have: 1) no reaction in LinkedIn 2) Facebook offers me a London office, no US 3) didn't find job in Amazon yet that gives international relocation for front-end related experience As I say I have a strong intention and will continue to do something. However, I'd really appreciate any of your suggestions. Thanks for reading to the end. p.s. if you can help with references that would be more that I could ask. #h1b #relocation #career #referal
With the current state of the immigration, unless you are an exceptional candidate, I don't see you getting relocated. Couple options to consider; - Work for a remote happy US company for a while, show your worth, transfer. - Work for a US headquartered company in their Europe offices, show your worth, transfer.
Amazon is hiring like crazy in Vancouver. Just FYI
Thanks for the info.
Unrelated topic, please share your facebook London interview experience. Also, I have DM you.
Sure, feel free.
How did you know those timings? It's plenty of time from now to April, isn't it? And if it isn't, when is the next timeslot?
FYI hiring bar is much higher than EU. Get ready to get rejected. A lot.
Took into account, thank you.
Have you tried TripleBytes or Hired? Btw, get ready to Leetcode a lot if you want to crack FAANG interviews
I have registered on both, less than a week ago. Nothing yet.
