How soon is amzn team transfer possible
Hey guys Amazon recruiters fucked all the ex-interns this year by placing us back on our old teams (even though we were promised a pick of different teams) for starting as full time. How soon could I technically transfer off my team once I start and how difficult would that process be? Those lazy fuck recruiters made no attempt to even find a different team for us.

Don’t tell them until you get an offer. After you get a verbal offer tell current manager (not the whole team) and apply formally on the job posting and transfer in 1-4 weeks depending on the agreement between your old and new managers without looking back and hesitation. Leave it to the old manager for communicating to the rest of the team. Your old manager will likely ask you why you’re moving. Just say that new position better matches with your interest and career goals. No more no less.
