How to Get a GE return offer as an Intern?

1. What kind of work ethic should I need to get GE? (should i work weekends? should I spend more than 8 hours working?) 2. What questions should I ask in 1-1 with eng manager? 3. What questions should I ask in 1-1 with team manager? 4. Max no of diff versions i should send? 5. How soon should I expect to finish my projects. (like should i finish my assigned project in 60% of given time and do more work?) Any other thoughts and comments is appreciated

1. They don't tell you your rating after your internship FYI. You can maybe infer it from the quality of your return offer. I worked slightly less than 40 hours most weeks. Interns shouldn't be expected to put in overtime. But be very vocal about your work. FB likes it when you market how much impact you made. 2. Always ask for feedback. Every week. If the feedback is good, ask how you can do even better. Use the 5 axes. 3. Same as above but high level. You might need to fill them in on all the work that you did/doing. 4. Shouldn't matter. You should avoid making the same mistakes multiple times. Don't have linting errors on every diff, for example. Use draft diffs so you don't bother your reviewers. 5. This depends too much on your project. Some might have blockers you can't get around. Finish as much as possible. Suggest improvements. Maybe even suggest a new project if you finish early. Definitely keep your peers and manager in the loop on your progress/blockers. From experience, I can say that you can have great performance without overextending yourself and without compromising on the fun intern stuff. I'm not sure how covid will affect your internship but I'd wager expectations are lower.
