How to break through favouritism?

I have an Indian manager who is not technically strong and a new mother. The manager seem nice but softly avoid inviting me to architecture meetings or adding me to important slack channels. This prevents me gaining visibility and technical depth. Instead, another junior Indian colleague got the opportunity. Despite I mentioned my interest in involving in redesign and technical interest, the manager always says I will invest you. Bull shit! Our organization just got slightly reorganized. We have new skip manager (white) and architect (Indian). How do I make a break through ? Or GTFO? Tc: 450~600k depends on stock.

i would start by putting less emphasis on race. not saying it doesn’t play a role but rarely does it help to focus on it. try finding ways to connect and influence your manager bc there are definitely ways to do so no matter what races either are

Express interest to your manager that you want to help more and ask for suggestions on which areas she thinks you can take lead. In your one on ones, tell her examples of your previous assignments that you are proud of, bring them subtly. These are tiny hints to let her know that she can give you bigger projects. Probably build more rapport with the other developer as well and ask him/her to invite you to the meetings. Don’t stop asking them if they need any help.

Take proof of instances where you specifically asked the HM to join you in the channels/meetings. Bring the conversation up in your 1:1s. If the HM dodges this, go for the passive aggressive kill by showing the proof collected :)
