I see referral requests and interview advice requests for random companies. Zillow, doordash, the like. How do you choose these random companies to interview with? Look I get everyone needs to start somewhere but we’re not talking entry level with these posts. #Zillow #doordash #better #Dropbox #okta #Groupon #flexport #wayfair
Are Zillow and dd really low tier? Better than amazon imo
On what metric?
My opinion
Oh shit. Guess I will apply there
DoorDash's interview was a joke, when I asked them in the interview about their tech stack they basically described it as "we threw everything at the wall and saw what stuck" and their offer was easily the lowest out of the 5 I received. No idea what you're on about, but DoorDash is definitely bottom tier. Amazon's offer was way way higher. And yes I see the irony in saying this while my company is Snap
Pay, probably. And less important, things like hiring bar, engineering culture, etc also come into play I also wouldn’t consider any of the companies you mentioned as low tier
What is your definition of high tier?!
High tier = Highest smart oven market share
Right, that’s what I thought. You don’t know. You just have some arbitrary misplaced notion that you are at a high tier company.
Did OP just call DoorDash and Dropbox low tier 🤨
While working at Amazon no less
Can I get a referral to Cisco?
This has to be the most passive-aggressive thing I've seen on Blind. Well done OP 😂
It’s sad to see people thinks Zillow is low tier 🥲 we have good stack, the best wlb, fully remote and pay bank though, like 350-400k for senior
Oh Amazon, please don't apply to Zillow - we don't want you. Low tier, like you said. Absolutely nothing to see here. Move along...
Better pay, higher Eng bar, better WLB. Go get your free bananas op
