What must I do to stand out while looking for a new position in data science or data analytic space out of fintech? I have 13 years of Data Science / Data Analytic experience in the fintech industry. I have built multiple scorecards using Python and SAS and worked with IT to ensure proper launch. I have created complete performance tracking reports to monitor A/B tests and crown new champion strategies. I have written custom Python packages to QA our underwriting strategies. I have created data pipelines to ensure underwriting goes smoothly and my team of data scientists can access internal and external attributes. I have led a team of up to 5 data scientists to accomplish the above, too. However, I cannot get past ATS and land interviews in fintech or out of it. I am taking datacamp courses to keep my coding sharp and learn new techniques. Any ideas? Should I look into leetcode I see on here? Are there popular certifications that companies are looking for? Should I learn new language c#, java? TC 185 all base Unemployed 4 months and counting
Which roles are you targeting? You need to have relevant keywords for that role to pass the ats
I read their minimum and preferred requirements, then attempt to incorporate as many technical words as possible in the bullets and skill section of my resume. Unfortunately I do not believe I am using their key words. I was just recently told by a contract hr recruiter that my resume read like business management and did not show I was hands on spent Monday and Tuesday fixing that.
