I'm not US citizen. Working at Amazon on H-1B visa. What minimum documents were accepted at dol.wa.gov office by non-citizen applicants? When I read the minimum requirements it was confusing to me π€¦π€¦ββοΈ
Real ID is not a document, there are multiple forms of real id: greencard, passport, enhanced driver license (EDL). You canβt get EDL if you are not a US citizen. Edit: looks like some states allow EDL for non-citizens, broken system imho. Edit 2: OP is asking about WA, so no, you wonβt get EDL: https://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/edlproof.html
Your REAL ID as a H1B holder is your foreign passport.
OP asks for real id compliant driverβs license (EDL), not about real id in general.
Yeah - he canβt get that in WA. Use your passport.
You can't get it in WA. I got it when I moved to CA from WA.
Contact all your representatives. Contact Jay Inslee. Contact the WA federal and State representatives, etc.
Enhanced Driver's license is only for US citizens. You can only get regular DL. H1Bs are treated the same as illegal or undocumented immigrants here.
What are you talking about. Real ID is issued to non-citizens as well.
No, you need US passport or US birth certificate to get Real ID. Non citizens can't produce either so they are considered the same as undocumented immigrants
