Hi, Imagine I work at Google and got an offer from FB. Let's say 15/20% higher TC than currently at Goog. How would you approach the request to raise the offer? Email to recruiter? Phone to Hiring Manager? Also is PTO something that is negotiable at a company like FB? Currently at 25 don't want to downgrade. Thanks!
Ask them for suicide prevention fund.
Do you get one from Apple?
Last time I checked FB is where people jump off buildings
You’ll get them to budge the most if you have another offer. PTO allocation is pretty set in stone but if you have things planned you can mention that and work it out in negotiations. Also when I started they used to not budge on equity but would budge on salary. These days I’ve heard from new hires it’s flipped and people have been able to negotiate much higher equity but apparently they’re being stubborn over salary negation (especially if you don’t have another offer). Still sounds like there’s wiggle room for signing bonus negotiations. Good luck!
Thanks!

Competing offer
They won't ask to check it? Is it safe to just make up a number and a company?
I meant actually getting a competing offer. I don't know FB, my Google recruiter only increased numbers after seeing my other offer letter.
