How to prep for Lockheed SWE Interview
For those of you that have had a Lockheed SWE interview and got an offer, how did you prep? Any leet code style questions? Or is it mainly STAR style like with other disciplines? I’m coming from a non CS background and have been doing self studying for about a year now. Looking to make the switch within a couple of months. YOE 1 TC 97k #lockheed #lockheedinterview
If you are already at LM why are you interviewing? Tons of people do internal transfers, all you need to do is talk to the manager of the new team and work out an agreement with your current manager, no interview required. My LM interview was about 3h of computer vision and machine learning, but that was because my team was specialized in ML/AI. No leetcode, just ML programming in python. Good luck.
How much do SWE get paid at defense companies? I keep being harassed by Raytheon, but I don't even bother thinking they can't match comp. TC: 580k YOE 20
Team leads probably 160-180K. New grad 80-100K

All you need is a pulse and basic SWE knowledge. You might be asked about inheritance or pant specific questions. Don’t expect something like leetcode. That’s too advanced for them.
Actually I will say that if you're going for an MLE role in Denver or one of the actually interesting and cool jobs with better comp, they do a bit of some kind of code test But yeah where I'm at it's "wait u r willing to do swe work for 100k and ur a citizen? U start today" lol
But realistically why would anyone want to be an MLE in defense and make garbage pay when industry is paying too dollar for MLEs
