It seems I have a hard time doing it and it is my first time. The stock is moved to my individual account. The total amount is roughly 2000$ but the available cash is 0. Can anyone explain what this means. I have not sold or done anything with this. Is it because the market is closed now or so no trading can be done? TC: 300k
Available cash means the amount you gain from dividends. If that is 0 it means you haven't gained any amount from dividends. Cash and stock are different components. You don't have cash but you still have stocks. You can Google how to sell stocks on fidelity if you need the step by step process. It will have a sell/transfer button somewhere in the website. You will have to add your bank account details which usually takes 5 days to reflect, after that you can sell the stocks and transfer the amount to the bank account you added, this usually takes another 5 days.
You’ve just been front runned, jk. Goto your account with stocks, hit sell.
Is the trading window open for you?
Cash != Stock. You can have 2 AMZN stock and 0 cash in your account. When you sell that stock your available cash will show the cash from the proceeds. Reading your other comment replies, you can sell the stock even if your cash is 0. Probably as markets are closed you are not able to sell.
Best to call AMZN’s Fidelity contact # and they’ll walk you through details.
Usually it takes at least few days for the transaction to settle. Add extra days if you sold during holidays and/or also elected to ACH money to your bank account.
I have not sold it yet, I don’t know it is moved to my individual account automatically. I cannot transfer or trade, since it says 0 cash is available. I want to sell now but there is nothing I can do it seems
If you have received some stock into your brokerage account, it may still take a day or two to be available for trade. Sorry for not understanding initially your question.
