I’m on my phone an average of 5 hours a day, ouch. How do folks get over iPhone addition? I want to drop it to 1 to 2 hours a day. Any free minute I get I go to my phone. Sometimes it’s work related but most times it’s Reddit, blind, LinkedIn, stocks, news. I’m joining meta soon which will force me to have a separate phone. I’m thinking of not installing gmail, LinkedIn, Reddit on that device and just keeping that with me during the day. Checking my personal phone at night only. Any tips that have worked for you? Uninstall shit. The basic friction of having to access stuff without the convenient app on the phone will drive down engagement.
Put time limit on the apps from the setting. I found that helpful
Check which app has most screen time and uninstall it.
My legs are turning purple from sitting on the toilet for the past 1.5 hours. The only reason I’m not getting up is because of my phone and you know the worse part? I haven’t even pooped! I just peed (sitting down)

Delete Reddit, delete news apps, delete YouTube. If you want to go nuclear, put your phone in a really inconvenient location while you’re working (like inside your car that’s parked on the street).
Honestly, get rid of the iPhone and buy a super cheap android phone. Text, email, maps. Nothing else.
