I'm doing great financially but still get the urge to check investment accounts, bank accounts, stock news, Personal Capital (net worth tracker), and Zillow multiple times a day It's complete overkill. I already own my condo (purchased last year with a very affordable monthly payment) and am just DCA'ing into index funds. So there's absolutely nothing that will come out of my time spent on this Anyone else dealt with similar issues? Tc 340
App timers are your friend. Set a timer for minimum (5 minutes) and slowly you'll kill the habit.
Just don’t look at them
Yes. Similar issues. Just need more hobbies man. I picked one up and don't check nearly as much and life is much better... Finances are still fine. Looking & checking ain't gonna make number go up. U just need a replacement activity

Yes I’m stressed too
Me too. Keeping a watch on finances isnt a bad habit. Its a good one and you should continue doing it. Smart phones made every single metric available at our fingertips whenever wherever.
Easy, automate it all into one location & you will eventually desensitize to the data the same way you arent staring at your gauges when driving. Your mind is making a ritual and a spectacle out of the action of checking and keeping yourself busy. The issue is not that you know the data but that you are in a positive feedback loop created by the action of constantly checking
You will also internalize the numbers eventually. To use the driving metaphor again, you dont need to look at your speedometer to know roughly how fast you are going.
