Workday is trash. The UI is trash and it is slow. The business is stale. However, unbelievably, it is actually growing pretty well. Its stock equally perform qqq, likely GooG, which is pretty well done for company as its size. (Lyft is almost bankrupt.) Why? How? I can understand companies sticking with it because switching payroll system is a nightmare. But how can it grow? It shouldn’t increase its customers base. It should stay with existing customers and generate limited margin.
Wait until rippling gets brought out and merged to find out 👹
Workday is decent in the HRIS domain. Most companies have started adopting them. They will continue to do well.
Because there’s no one else in the market doing better in this area
Yeah someone from rippling saying that. I wonder why
Their hiring bar also seem low. Someone on my old team at meta lied in their resume about their role at meta (guy was in marketing and lied about being a PM), was let go, and lied his way to get his incompetent ass at workday.
How dumb of Meta 😂
If you are talking about a recent hire at Workday, I think I know who you are talking about. And I may have interviewed that person. What makes you so sure that they lied in their interview? If we are talking about the same person - I can tell you they didn’t.
They offer lower price and have good marketing. Those who sign the contract to use workday are not the same who use it daily and once HR and payroll onboarded to workday, it's not easy to change it.
Ride sharing company is a low margin business. The cost to support the drivers are massive. In terms of operating cost, it is no different than a restaurant. Workday is a tech company which has higher profit margin. Lower opex
How do they keep growing? There are new startups getting seed every day. Once you get above a handful of people, you need payroll and WD is the main game in that market. ADP would rather stick to old school larger companies.
They are growing by eating ADP’s lunch.
Because a startup doesn't have the workday experience. Regulations in so many countries and even regions isn't something a startup can handle yet. I look forward to it. But we have no real competition. ADP is terrible. We are better than what ukg pushes. We might be slow but we at least deliver.
I dunno I jus work here
Because ADP is its only real competitor.
It is true. No one else in the market to compete with them in that market segment.
Ok.. let's build one, where UI would be as smooth as Apple website
