How’s working at Slack?
How is the culture and work life at Slack? I’m assuming it’s changing after the Salesforce acquisition. Did Slack also have layoffs? Is it worth considering a jump there from Google for a pay and level bump? TC: 400k
The question simply put is how much can you slack off?
Culture is cool. Folks are smart and generally helpful. We had layoff yes.
I’d love to work at Slack / Discord once to understand the scale and problems. It would be super interesting and challenging.

Slack is a great product and Salesforce was a great employer for a long time. Things have definitely changed, but so has google, amazon, msft. If you are curious about how a global communication’s company solves problems, it might be a good opportunity to learn .
Will slack and zoom merge?
@zoom Not likely, slack has mirrored most of the functionality that zoom provides at this point, so a merger would not make sense. Zoom is still a best in class product though, and I wish yall best of luck competing with Microsoft and google monopolies!
