I-140 Approval and Priority Date Confusion

Hi , I used to work in Intel before. Intel started my PERM while I was on F-1. They filed my I-140 in Aug 2021. I quit Intel on May1 2022. I thought my I-140 will be in pending approval stage.Since, I quit job, I thought I won't be able to retain my priority date. Surprisingly, Intel sent an email yesterday with I-140 approval receipt with receipt notice date as May 5 2022. They also confirmed that my future employers will be able to retain the priority date. Is it correct ? Can some one clear my confusion as my receipt notice is after my exit date ? Thanks,

Yes. Looks like they did not withdraw your I-140. Lucky you! You will retain your old PD. But double check with a lawyer instead of posting here

Only consulting companies withdraw.. Most of the companies offering full time positions never withdraw..

That is correct Withdrawal costs money, and there is never a benefit, except for consultancies trying to extract money out of you by enslaving you to work for them
