At checkout should I sign up one of my annoying coworkers email for marketing emails? This peer doesn't do their work, takes my work and shows off to others. We work on a support team for two different product lines, my ideas are generally applicable to multiple. I've asked my manager to let me take my ideas to the other team but was denied a few times because it would be scope creep and overload me. He says it's fine if my peer copies my work and gets the credit for the other product team. TC: 280 Edit: felt guilty didn't do it
Beware that GAP will email that address with your name
I am buying with a gift card not connected to my name And I don't have an account at Gap No way to connect it back to me Only way would be to come home and see my laundry, Google location history and gift card (got for Thanksgiving) purchase history
What was the response from your manager and also team member? Usually if you can’t resolve conflict with a team member, it’s up to manager to talk and sort it amongst the members. If manager doesn’t care then either they’re bad managers or you may not have communicated clearly on what your expectations are from the manager/coworker on this issue.
Manager doesn't care Team member said I won't repeat this sorry, but he keeps doing it. He's just annoying, he doesn't respond to emails n slack msgs on time. Rarely provides feedback on team meetings, does everything on the side by himself.
OMG. Now I know how I end up getting marketing or spam emails to my work email. I never use them to sign up for anything and always wondered where the hell are these leaking from. Never suspected a co worker doing it.
This is petty. I would address it professionally because it’s not going to solve anything by you doing this. Only will result in resentment as you continually work with this person. Try handling it directly, maybe it will be a good example for a behavioral down there line.
I let my manager know I let my team member know that it's unfair, I asked him to atleast put my name on the quip or reference my previous work to give credit. I don't want to bypass him and talk to product team. Any other ideas?
I have another idea: switch teams or find a new job.
