Joined Amazon last month with having offer from other company. I am always thinking that I should have accepted other company. Now I always keep thinking about work if my task would be completed on time or not. I have been working on same task for last sprint and I just don’t know if i will be able to complete this sprint even. This is really killing me. I don’t think I will make TC if I apply for new companies and I don’t have the energy to apply and prepare again. TC: 220K
It's only been a month, reach out to the other company and see if the offer is still open
They won’t take me I already did
There’s a reason they give such a high tc. It’s the price for your peace of mind and health
So you are getting paid high TC and are being asked to deliver on tough projects? Sorry , but what did you expect
You didn’t get the point I said I made wrong choice and the regret is killing me now
That is Ok , sometimes high TC is not worth it and not best choice for everyone . Go back to other company , you would now be ex-Amazon , more prestige 😀
Can you share what the task is and why it's taking a lot of time?
You’re only a month in. Give it some time, and make sure you ask for help from your manager and peers if you’re stuck. Last time I started at a larger company, it took longer than it usually would to do tasks because of how complicated and interconnected a lot of the work is. If you get to 3 or 4 months in and you’re still lagging behind or not improving, then you may have a problem.
OP I’m gonna tell you something that you’ve never seen on blind before. Instead of working at one really hard job like Amazon do 2-3 easy jobs like with federal government and all fully remote. You’ll make the same TC easily and less workload
Im on H1 doesn’t apply to me
Always wondered about OE. How do you not cross channels/meetings/w2s?
I would recommend to put your head down and grind for another 6 months and then restart interviewing and switch . Experience at amazon will be a plus (experience-wise not meant the resume).
What’s the other company?
Is it data engineering project

Tech companies to avoid as a white guy?
Guess I dodged a bullet
You chose GS? More like the bullet dodged you.
I interviewed with Amazon recently, I mean. I’m slowly bleeding out here from a gut wound here.
