How come someone would knowingly bring themselves into a situation that clearly will not work for them? I’ve heard anything from complaints about cost of living, visa backlog, crime (??), cultural differences. Why not just leave? TC 435k #misc
H1B is a dual intent visa so technically they are right to feel entitled to immigrate/stay
No it isn’t
It literally is. > Even though the H-1B visa is a non-immigrant visa, it is one of the few visa categories recognized as dual intent, meaning an H-1B holder can have legal immigration intent to apply for and obtain the U.S. Green Card, while still being a holder of the H-1B visa.
I don't understand rich weirdos on blind complaining about H1Bs. How come someone would knowingly live in a country that has a group of immigrants they don't like when they can easily afford to live anywhere in the world? Why not just leave?
Because a lot of us got baited into this when the "backlogs" were just a few years. Who the fuck would have predicted a 150 year backlog + USCIS actually working like a sloth?
First when even was that? Second, why didn’t you apply at that time then? Also, not sure where you are from, but which country has a government agency that DOESNT work like a sloth.. they are all the same
First, it was during the last recession. Second, because priority dates weren't current and USCIS blocks people from applying and adjudicating. Also, USCIS should transparently advertise that they are unable to perform their jobs. They used to process I-140 in 2 months and i-485 in 4 months. They have lost that ability over time. Are you asking if individuals could have predicted all of this?
Last time I checked, it's a free country! They can talk, you can choose if you want to listen or not. H1B -> GC -> USC here.
Are you Native American, OP??
^ this cuz if you arent then its not your country as well…atleast I have a home which is truly mine…god knows where you came from
Most ppl are complainers.. they complain about the process.. You complain about them complaining.. I complain about …<fill in the blanks>
Free speech and free country, where are you from OP?
So only US citizens can have an opinion about their day-to-day lives the USA? Got it. Ok, here’s mine: I was born here - white midwesterner - and I think you sound racist AF.
“White midwesterner”. You’re trying too hard. Lol.
Sounds like you're complaining as well.. you could just leave instead
RIP, OP
