30% charge on everything that you purchase through app store is exuberant. 1-5% charge is fine but 30% is total BS. It's like uncle sam for internet. Apple has a monopoly on apps and they can throw out any players who dont play by there rules. You are selling device, let me do whatever f*** I wanted to do on my device. We should move away from Apple products. Apple is like goons in India, who asks "hafta" to street vendors for a space that they dont owe.
Fcuk apple for sure
BREAKING NEWS! Yah, everyone has known/said this for years.
30% is too high. F**k apple.
Would be totally fair for you to say if you invented a better phone, better app store and charged less. Its very easy to criticize when you are not in the game. Demand and supply decide the price… apple charges 30% coz people are willing to pay.. there is nothing called “30% is too high”
30% is only if you use apple’s payment system. Netflix uses their own payment system and they don’t pay 30%. So Twitter can make their own payment system through web browser. It’s simple. It would be difficult if they didn’t have a Twitter.com where they can login and setup your payments. But he already has that. Then why use App Store for purchasing of the tick mark ?! It’s a pointless argument from Elon. He can just turn it off and still continue charging the monthly payment through the website.
Apple needs to be broken up .
Have you looked into the costs of maintaining an App Store?
Yeah Apple is barely scaping by. They might need to close the App store
Lol good joke.
buy an Android then
Yes, my next device is gonna be android
Android also charges 30% tax on purchases through the play store
IOS accounts for less than half of the market. Not even close to a monopoly.
Over half in USA.
Also total amount spent by users favours Apple too
But you get into apple device fully knowing all this. Not like they are forcing it on you.
You don't own the device tho right? License to use the software that runs it. Kind of like a Tesla lol.
Don’t buy one then
No alternative
I'm replying on an Android device.
