I just realized I’m underpaid. What should be my next steps?

I have over 10 years of experience working in the healthcare industry managing clinical trials and clinical trial data. In 2020, I started working as a data scientist and I was getting paid $85k. I switched to Accenture in 2021 and my base salary is $110k with no bonus or stock. I do get to buy discounted stock. However, I have seen people since I’ve joined blind and learned more about salary websites making more than me without my years of experience even at my current employer. Also, I did graduate from a top 5 school and a well known masters program. I’m starting to apply different places but i wanted to see if anyone had advice. #dataanalytics #datascience

Salary is also very industry specific. Outside of health tech the healthcare/pharma field really underpays data people.

I would try to leverage your experience with clinical trials. Try companies like Abbot, Merch or Medtronic. The pay is not gonna be amazing but you might be able to squeeze 170k salary if you leverage your exp properly. If want top of the band tech companies you will have to get good at interviewing

I’m working on this.
