TL;DR: Don't use Instacart. I haven't actually used Instacart before. But today, with the 100-30 offer on Costco Same-Day (powered by Instacart), and Costco selling a $100 Instacart GC for $80, along with getting a $15 credit and free Instacart+ from my Chase Sapphire Reserve card, I think combining all these together makes it a decent deal for me to finally try Instacart. I found items I want to buy from Costco Same-Day and then bought the $100 GC from Costco. It took more than half an hour for the GC to be delivered to my email. Then, I encountered the very first issue that I can't redeem my GC. I tried multiple times and multiple ways. No luck. Then I tried the GC on Instacart.com. It worked, but then I realized the credit on Instacart.com was not shared with Costco Same-Day. They are two separate systems. I didn't see anywhere on Instacart or Costco Same-Day mentioning such a fact. Then I tried to check out with my Chase Sapphire Reserve card without using the GC. Instacart can't even authorize the transaction on my card, and clearly, it failed on the Instacart side because my bank didn't see any activity at all. I just don't know how Instacart makes its system this bad with all these confusing designs, slow as f**k responses, and unreliable service.
Bro, this isn’t customer service
I already gave up on InstaCart
Also the price of the same item in physical Costco vs online Costco vs instacart are not the same
The prices will make you bankrupt after 5 deliveries.
Waiting for Amazon to roll out their deliver plan for Whole Foods, clears any supermarket Instacart has
If you have an Amazon fresh near you, it’s excellent. I use it all the time
What is the difference ?
Delivery apps are awful in general. It’s a disgusting and predatory business that generally does not make money.
They need to hire a good QA team
Bruh, it's you dog.. lt's not confusing if you just follow the directions. literally just add the gc where you added the promo code then select the credit as your payment. lmfao (I just did this)
I was getting the same “the promo code is invalid” error for hours. And you can see many people complaining the same issue online.
It worked for me with this stack. All-in prices ended up cheaper than in-store, and I didn’t have to leave my house.
I used it for the first time today. $20 off a $35+ Costco order $15 quarterly chas credit (not rich enough for the CSP) $10 for 5 avocados, a bunch of celery and 24 eggs. Not the worst deal, but I won't use it until my credit comes back next quarter 😂
This is what you get with agile development, continuous integration, high turn over rate and pip.
I don’t understand how agile and CI have anything to do with anything with OP mentioned and the other two things in your list. “I don’t like Agile and CI so I make up BS lists that include them with other awful things. When they are next to other awful things people will see them as awful as well.” - Stripe Agile, CI, human greed, capitalism and lack of empathy is the reason for world wars. /s Did I do good Stripe?
Agile and CI relying on automation testing. It sounds cool but these tests are not flexible. When you have a completely new scenario to add, very few people has the knowledge and honesty to spend right amount of time to fix the tests properly. People simply think that everything would be fine if no test break. When you have a serious system, dedicated QA team is a must. But most companies don’t want to pay for it.
I thought of using this deal but with price almost 30% higher compared to warehouse, I decided it was not worth the effort.
That’s why I need to stack all these together to make it reasonable.
+1 they inflate the price.. not worth it
