I want to drop out of college

Basically, I'm a senior in college whose already signed a full time offer to work at Facebook (I'm an ex-intern). School stresses me out like crazy, I really dislike what I'm studying, and what I'm studying doesn't actually pertain to the job I'll be working (I'm studying CS but doing a non-eng position). I don't see the point in finishing college as I'd rather spend my time developing the skills that are more important for my career. How bad would it be if I dropped out of college? I'm basically just doing it to get the degree, but as far as I know, having Facebook on my resume diminishes the importance of my college degree.

Don’t do it. There is 1 Steve Jobs for million dropouts. The stats are not in your favor.

I think you should finish college. Get that degree — you’re already so close. More importantly, this is an important life lesson for you to learn first hand. Life isn’t always easy or fair and not everything seems to be relevant. But part of growing up is learning these things. For example, when you work at Facebook, you’ll find that often you are expected to work on things you didn’t think you signed up for. Or you might grow to dislike what you do. Hope that’s somewhat helpful.

How many hours left? Finish and get a degree while working. At some point in your career a stupid paper from a university is going to matter. It might be a promotion or raise, but all companies at sometime will screw you if you don't have it.

1) you better check their offer doesn’t depend on you completing your degree 2) I assume you’re a US citizen and you will never ever work in any other country, so you won’t need the degree for expedited, easy visa processing 3) you’re never ever going to do any grad studies, another degree I had a similar dilemma while doing my degree. Because I actually finished it, I had an option to move to US. So glad I did it!

My visa requires a bachelor degree. You’d need one to work in Canada on TN visa, for example.

Agree on point #1. I think most tech offers are only valid if you finish your degree.

Terrible idea. Short term pain long term gain. If you end up hating FB and leaving in <1yr, you're not going to have fun getting another gig.

You have no idea that expensive piece of paper means in real world. You will thank yourself for sticking through if you. If you dont like what you are studying then take different courses. If they are requirements just get the passing grad. Do leetcode in other side and use facebook offer to negotiate a better offer ;)

If you quit when you are 3/4 done with something because it is annoying/hard at Facebook they will fire you and you won't have a CS degree to fall back on.
