Thoughts? Imo, that’s a small % of the total workforce. AI will also recreate that many jobs + in the coming years.
Workers ARE the horses in the 'horse and buggy' revolution. AI is meant to replace workers, not create more jobs for workers.
Because Watson has been so effective?
what kind of roles is ibm trying to replace with ai?
HR, probably some lower level accounting and some shared services.
IBM is 💩 anyways No self-respecting tech company would do this.
AI will recreate what jobs? In the coming years, all creative positions won’t be needed anymore. Physical labor seems like the only thing safe in the short-term.
Have you read about the industrial revolution? And other times in history where technology replaced huge % of jobs? Guess what happened? That same technology created other jobs. Anything today that AI can do, will require expertise to enhance and maintain. For example, self driving cars. Very small % of the market, as it grows, so will the need for new Roles as well as other areas that will automate transportation.
And most horses lost their jobs in return. Humans can be the horses next. The sole role of AI is to replace human labour. Just like cars were meant to replace horse labour.
