Techies - So what was the big deal about IIM A anyway? The average FAANGU engineers are killing it. Software Engineering rocks. Recently went to a social gathering in India and heard the Indian uncle bragging about his IIM A grad son. Ignorance is bliss - "I responded with what IIM A was? lol"

IIM A is the best business school in India for someone who wants to pursue an MBA job in India. Not sure why you want to show off even more in front of the uncle showing off?
MBA diplomas are inflated. Higher the ranking of a B-School in India, the higher is the arrogance among those alumni (includes both the males and the females).
Dude, you work at wayfair clearly you are not the best engineer india has to offer. Looks like you are salty because no one is praising your salary which when converted to rupee must look impressive. At least in india, IIM grads generally make more than SDEs even at Amazon. In US the IIM brand doesnāt have much recall but a IIM grad has far better probability of making it to a cxo role than any SDE. Besides most IIM grads are former IIT engineers, often top of their class. So that iim grad relative of yours might as well beat you on leetcode

This post is so immature. Do you understand the meaning of "league"? A graduate from an NIT and with an experience of 13 years I am earning close to1 Cr. I know many people in my village who are not even 10th pass having several crores of land and flourishing land plotting or auto repair business of more than 1Cr+ in a year. Does that make them better than me? I don't envy them but there are many among them who would swap places with me. It's not about the money..its about the league you are in. That league often keeps on changing. A private college graduate working for TCS selected in say IIM-B suddently changed the league. A TCS long timer founded a startup which turned unicorn suddenly changed the league. An IIM-A is a fucking top place for the people who are the cream of the country. Some of us software Guys earning more doesn't change that. They earn a lot too as most high paying software companies hire them for PM roles
The data is obviously screwed. Better report foreign currencies on country versus converting to USD. And I don't see equity. By any means I uphold education versus TC. TC is like present State vs Education you would get there.
