Identity theft?

Today morning i found my cellular connection is not working. Called the service provider multiple times to no avail. Finally visited their store to find out someone in NY bought two ipones on my account and changed my address to somewhere else. Got new sims from service provider though. What should i do? Where to report this?

Heard same story from a coworker. His friend’s identity was stolen with the same mechanism. Some wire transfers were scheduled. Please check bank accounts

FTC.gov or www.ic3.gov. Fill out the claim. Do a PD report. They won't actually work on it but you need the report number for certain financial institutions. Freeze your credit and put an alert on with your phone number. This way anyone who applies for credit with your ssn will get an alert to verify with you. Then check your credit every quarter.

Didn’t you get any notification on your phone number when they used your credit card?

Not my credit card. They bought 2 iphones on my cellular account.
