I have on-sites scheduled over the next 2 days for both AWS and Twitch. I want to cancel the on-site for AWS, but I’m worried it’ll somehow negatively affect me for Twitch because it’s all through Amazon. I received confirmation emails today so it’s rather last minute (I had to reschedule AWS in the past due to health). Can anyone comment if this is the case? I want to prioritize Twitch. I also have another offer in hand I’d take over AWS so I’m not exactly putting all my eggs in one basket. TC: 160k YOE: <1
You're over-estimating how much recruiters care
This ^
I thought I might be, but then I heard stories of how if you’re fired/pipped or leave a bad taste with Amazon in some way you wouldn’t be able to be reconsidered again in the future
No it won't. It is likely that they don't even know until you say about it. When I was interviewing they didn't know about it until I said I was interviewing with both amazon and Twitch.
Thank you, during my initial call i mentioned I was interviewing for AWS. He said twitch doesn’t really care if I’m interviewing for both but AWS might when it comes down to deciding which I would choose
No lol, even twitch recruiters don’t always communicate with each other , let alone with Amazon recruiters
