Is it them who needs to be more culturally sensitive or me?
Depends on which one is considered the more dominant culture
LoL tyranny of the majority strikes again
Depends on which culture is perceived as protective class
It depends. When social norms collide there is storming. Generally anything that would intrude on another person's personal space, time, or dietary is a good indicator for delineation.
It depends where you are. When in Rome, do as the Romans do.
Until enough of my culture move in, or people in Rome can be convinced they're racist if they have issues with my lifestyle.
Good point. Rome was invaded
Do you eat a raw onion before going into work?
Kind of, it hangs from my belt
As long as you don't clutch your garlic necklace and throw dollar bills towards Jews "to satisfy them until they go away" like on Borat I think it's fine
Depends on what exactly is annoying ppl here .. care to eloborate ?
Idk, let's say burping at dinner. I'm keeping the question generic as a thought experiment since everyone likes to jump to conclusions here.
You need to learn some manners and adjust.
Depends on how awful it is. Praying to your diety 10x a day, who cares. Chewing on shoes, that's awful.
Notice how there’s not an actual example. This person is not seeking help. They are baiting.
Almost as if it was meant to not be specific to anything
Idk if your culture eats people, probably you need to be more sensitive. If your culture has less need for personal space (close talking etc) then others need to be more sensitive. It’s probably relative to the prevailing culture where you are at the time
disagree on personal space point - you need to adjust for the people who want more space not vice versa sorry
