If I get an offer from both FB and Instagram (team), will that raise my TC at all?
Since they're both part of Facebook, I was wondering if Instagram somehow counted as a "semi-counter" to the Facebook core app? Recruiter told me that I'd be receiving only one offer ultimately (which makes sense), so just wondering if that offer will be higher since both teams are interested? I'm asking because it'll be two separate interview loops.
I believe it will be same as when internal teams want an engineer you can choose and the TC will be considered by role and experience.

Same goes on many companies big enough. Different teams can have different recruiters and process. It will give you more leverage to counter since you are of interest on both teams, but they won’t outbid or give you a better offer just because. Make sure that what they offer is competitive

You know it is the same company, they work together on the same tools and same projects. You can't bid up when both are on the same side. You can just flat out counter, but they they won't outbid each other for you.
Yeah, that's what I figured. Since it's two separate loops, I was wondering if I should go through both. If I'm leaning towards one of them, it might make more sense to only interview with them. But if there were any major benefits to going through both (like getting a higher offer as a result), I would do both.
If you did well with one, no point for a second. If you don't do well, you can use the other as your second chance.

I'm at the last stage now (on-sites). Everything leading up to this point was super fun actually. Come prepared, be polite and curious.
I had an onsite last week, solved all coding problems which were mostly of medium difficulty. Only one gave me a hard time because by then I was drained, but managed to figure it out. The feedback I got was that I didn’t do as well as I though on the coding portion, which is quite surprising, given how as soon as I got home I found the problems, coded them up and passed all the tests. One I couldn’t find so had to test on my own and looked good. Ultimately, if they don’t like you, you won’t get an offer even if you figure out the problems.
In Microsoft too you can interview for 2 teams together , sometimes it’s the same loop that’s made up of both teams and sometimes it’s two different loops. The offer however comes from one team , you have to decide which team. Each team can compete to make you more excited , but the level , role and money stays the same .
