Both companies have talked about being efficient and cutting costs more this year. If they are going to do another round of layoffs when do you think they would announce? My guess is end of this month or early March, take the negative publicity close together and move on. Slip them in while everyone else is too. Wait too long and it’ll look worse/standout.
no more layoffs. Just more PIP lmao u think u deserve severance?
No more layoffs I think. Forte review is coming so I am guessing URA would take care of bottom feeders.
Before the next earnings
6% PIP enforced then more layoffs in the summer if still needed
I voted for October since had 0 votes for some reason, dont see it less likely than other month in particular.
3 month from previous round

For Meta I don't see it happening before November. It's the Q4 and 2024 projections that will drive the next round of layoffs. Amazon is hard to predict. It's expected the consumer spending will decline. But by how much? Very hard to guess that. With raging job market I wouldn't expect consumer spending to go down by much. But Amazon does have some stupid projects. So there might be some layoffs from there.
If you listen to Zuck , he telegraphs everything. He’s actually one of the most straight up non-smarmy CEOs I’ve ever seen. He said in between the lines layoffs but probably mostly via PSC and attrition from trying to get managers to do more IC work. Several times he & Susan mentioned when the generous severance is off the books. They’re not keen on another round of severance. Now that the tech bloodbath has continued, they don’t need to do anything beyond what’s legal. Some of those in the first round of layoffs might be better off. Meta had to do the big ass severance the first time because other than the insane Elon, they were the first- plus it was the first mass layoff in company history. So it was important to look good in the media. It will be much easier to say “macroeconomic conditions” on the next one.
