If Robinhood goes bankrupt any impact on our stocks portfolio

My understanding is it is insured but still worth checking. TC#300Kish

SIPC insured up to a limit. I think it’s around 500k?

Lol, I’m transferring my RH account to Fidelity after reading what might happen with Coinbase. This seems similar but at least there’s some safety net but I’ve been burned more than once because RH couldn’t handle too many trades during the WSB days. Time to change!

How much it costs? Can we transfer 1:1, no previous experience so worth checking. I am planning to do EOW too :)

On top of list, thanks for the reminder

Why not just keep it at Schwab?

Meta fgJl18 OP May 11, 2022

That’s an option too but more familiar with Fidelity

Robinhood piqqm May 11, 2022

You're safe, it is insured upto $500k Robinhood also has enough cash ~6B on balance sheet to weather the storm

Another option is having multiple accounts - RH has some features which Fidelity or Schwab don't have like Crypto and commission free options. Sometimes it's a mental barrier that one has to have just one brokerage account - you can open many as long as you get the tax forms and file them together

Please stop speculating. The entire Fintech industry stocks are impacted. Nothing is happening to Robinhood
