If TC was not a concern, where would you want to work at? (FAANG)?

If TC, good manager, good promo velocity, no pipping, was all figured out for you. Where would you want to work at? Some ideas to consider: products, vision, coworker skills, learning opportunities, perks, etc. TC 160k #tech #meta #facebook #google #amazon #apple #netflix

I mean if TC isn't a concern, then Amazon is perfect, since the $0 in TC after the PIP means a nice vacation.

People voting netflix! Isnt netflix really a toxic place to work at?

The question asks you to ignore all of that and pretend it’s a great work environment. They’re basically asking which products would you prefer to work on.

My bad, just read the title :)

None of the FAANG. If I didn’t need money I’d go back to the non-profit I worked at before I joined Cisco. There is nothing inspiring or beneficial to humanity in ad-tech and retail dark patterns.

Twitter Just Float Mar 19, 2022

Disagree. Tons of things we use every day for free that no one would pay money for. The ads are necessary because people don't work for free.

Cisco zHtX13 Mar 19, 2022

Ad-tech is compensated for capturing value, but it doesn’t create any value. It’s a net negative for the world

Apple would be the place for me. Overall high quality products, enough diversity that you could work anywhere in the stack or any specific field you want, etc.

NASA RMpg06 Mar 19, 2022

Not FAANG probably. I'd probably stick with NASA. The only reason I'm trying to leave is the pay is absolute ass

you should at least add 2 more options: other companies/NGO I would want to be a game developer then, either in Nintendo/Sony studios/Microsoft or whatever else studio.(if WLB is not a concern either...since you also listed Meta and Amzn)
