None of the FAANG. If I didn’t need money I’d go back to the non-profit I worked at before I joined Cisco. There is nothing inspiring or beneficial to humanity in ad-tech and retail dark patterns.
Disagree. Tons of things we use every day for free that no one would pay money for. The ads are necessary because people don't work for free.
Ad-tech is compensated for capturing value, but it doesn’t create any value. It’s a net negative for the world
Apple would be the place for me. Overall high quality products, enough diversity that you could work anywhere in the stack or any specific field you want, etc.
Not FAANG probably. I'd probably stick with NASA. The only reason I'm trying to leave is the pay is absolute ass
you should at least add 2 more options: other companies/NGO I would want to be a game developer then, either in Nintendo/Sony studios/Microsoft or whatever else studio.(if WLB is not a concern either...since you also listed Meta and Amzn)
